My parents installed a Novan solar hot water system back in the 70's and it worked for decades. But they got older and stopped taking care of things and by the time I took over their house, it wasn't working. I thought it might be a write-off, but Boulder's Smart Regs energy standards had me taking a look at getting it fixed.

Aqua Care to the rescue! They checked out the system and made a detailed list of what could be salvaged and what needed to be replaced. They were able to save more parts that I expected. It still wasn't cheap, but a good investment compared to some of the other alternatives for Smart Regs compliance.

Aqua Care was great and their work was excellent. System works perfectly now, probably will for a long time to come. As long as it does, nobody that lives there will ever run out of hot water again.

I rarely write reviews on products or services but it is time to give a shout out to Aqua Solar. As an ex-Builder and developer of custom solar homes I have seen a lot of contractors who can talk a good game; many can do good work but few will stand behind their job when they screw up royally. My last Solar Thermal contractor was such a guy. Impressive list of clients, knowledgeable and pretty reliable until he discovered he hadn't installed expansion joints in a 300 foot domestic hot water and pool supply run he installed underground. The system didn't hold pressure and he made feeble attempts to locate leaks. He blamed the Landscaper for damaging his lines but in the end it was his fault and he just walked away from the job. Aqua Care came to my rescue and professionally diagnosed the problem and worked with me to fix the problem. The solar thermal systems works great now. Next up was the PV system. The last PV contractor went out of business and wouldn't come back to fix the racking system that failed in a windstorm. Aqua Care Solar came to the rescue again, replaced the shoddy rack system, fixed wiring problems and tuned the system. I can't say enough good things about these guys. When you find a great contractor treat them well, there aren't many out there.
